We provide comprehensive general veterinary services. We provide everything from regular wellness and preventive care, to dentistry, and allergy and dermatology.
What to Expect
Finding a veterinarian can be a challenging process. Our goal at The Urban Pet is to provide you with high-quality veterinary care in a welcoming, compassionate environment. You’ll want to focus on finding a vet that is calm, caring, and will explain your pet’s health clearly. You can find all of that and more at The Urban Pet.
When you first bring in your pet to see us, we’ll do a full nose-to-tail physical exam. After our veterinary team has completed the exam, we can talk about any other recommendations we might have for your pet.
We always encourage pet parents to keep an accurate diary of their pet’s medical procedures and vaccinations. This diary is also a good place to keep track of changes in elimination habits or any other changes you might notice.
Dr. Burgess also may at times refer you to a local veterinary specialist who can provide very specific care for your pet.
Payment Options
- Payment is expected when meeting with our veterinary team. We do not bill for our services so that we can keep our focus on our patients, provide excellent customer service and work to keep our costs low.
- For payment, we accept personal checks, cash, debit cards, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). We do require that cards be signed by the owner of the card.
- Because we know that unexpected veterinary expenses do happen, we also accept the CareCredit program. You can apply at www.CareCredit.com or through The Urban Pet. The application process is quick and it will allow you to break down your payment into monthly installments.
Many of our clients find CareCredit to be an attractive option for the following reasons:
- Low monthly payments
- No interest for up to 6 months
- No annual fee
